Toro Lodge's biggest surprise lies in it's excellent value for money. It offers breathtaking views over the mighty Chobe River.
The wonderful hospitality will make you feel right at home and you will enjoy very comfortable accommodation in bungalow-style rooms. All rooms are en-suite, with coffee and tea facilities, overhead fans or air-conditioner and a choice of twin or double beds.
Toro lodge is situated on the bank of the Chobe River. The 2.7 ha land on the river bank is very well situated and has a fantastic view over the river onto the Impalila Island.
It is also in the northern corner of Botswana, where four African countries meet. Across the Chobe River is Namibia, to the east across the Zambezi River is Zambia and to the south is Zimbabwe.
The area is called Kazungula and Victoria Falls is 70km away by road. A few minutes drive to the west brings you to the town of Kasane and gateway to the Chobe National Park, which is one of the major game viewing areas of Botswana.
Toro Lodge offers comfortable and affordable accommodation in en-suite individual chalets with aircon, and campsites with private ablutions, powerpoints, hot/cold showers, wash basins and fire places.

The Chobe Safari Lodge in Kasane on the border with Chobe Game reserve is a four star property known for excellent accommodation , game drives and food. The Mowana Safari Lodge is more upmarket and they are famous for their golf course while Senyati Safari Lodge offers self-catering accommodation in the bush. Senyati however, is visited daily by large numbers of elephants, buffalo and other game. When travelling from Toro Lodge to Cape Town, travellers can stay over in Cresta Lodge in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana and 9 hours drive from Toro Lodge and Kasane. This lodge is one of the most popular hotels in Gaborone CBD. SOUTH AFRICA LODGES Kambro self-catering (self contained) accommodation offers accommodation on a farm north of Britstown, and is worth a visit en route to Cape Town from Toro Lodge and Kasane. Kalahari Monate Lodge is 10 km from Upington and halfway between Chobe and Cape Town. They offer self-catering accommodation. Another hotel in the Eastern Cape region is the Savoy Hotel in Mthatha, the former capital of the Transkei. NAMIBIA LODGES Sossusvlei Desert Camp is a must see place in Namibia. You will take at least three days to reach it from Kasane. Desert Camp offers luxury self-catering (self contained) accommodation at Sossusvlei Namibia. The Jameson Hotel in Harare is within a day's drive from Chobe Game reserve and is perhaps the best known hotel in the CBD of Harare. The Jameson Hotel is a luxury, but affordable destination.
